What We Do
The STEM Inclusionary was established to collectively address higher education’s need for a culturally responsive resource on effective broadening participation practices that empower faculty and institutions to fully support and advantage undergraduate STEM students from marginalized communities. The STEM Inclusionary convenes and centers HBCU expertise in broadening participation to ensure all colleges and universities are equipped to competitively train and liberally educate historically marginalized communities in STEM.
If we are to meet the growing demand for sophisticated and forward-thinking professional development for STEM faculty and leaders, we must find ways of doing more of the right things at the right time and, more importantly, empowering others to do the same
Dr. Kelly Mack, Vice President for Undergraduate STEM Education and Executive Director of Project Kaleidoscope
